I got this Chinese (?) Dobro-clone new from Hobgoblin in London in 1999. It was just £175 but I have since
spent quite a bit having it set up. I was really looking for a square neck for steel playing but it sounded
so good I got it anyway & fitted a nut extender I got from Paul Beard to raise the action.
The resonator is the spider-bridge type. Maybe my ears need cleaning, but it sounds
as good to me as the real thing.
